Natural Cake smash photographer
Natural Cake smash, Eversley.
Beautiful Genevieve turned one and came to see me to celebrate in my studio, in Eversely Hampshire.
It’s fair to say she did NOT enjoy the beginning of the shoot! (see outtakes at the bottom of this blog) but after a long while of persuasion, and a giant wooden spoon (who’d have thought?) she started really getting stuck in and loving the cake!
Genevieve’s brother even managed to sneak in for a few pictures with mum 🙂 I like to try and include as many images as possible with a cake smash shoot. Starting off with baby in simple clothing and do some classic, fine art style portraits. I try and capture as many details as possible. Their curly hair, chubby cheeks and little smiles.
I then move onto the cake! Needless to say, most babies don’t need much encouragement when I bring out the cake, they get stuck in. The cakes I use are vanilla bean, covered in soft, delicious white icing. The cake is decorated with eucalyptus and peonies for a modern stylish touch.
At the end of the shoot, you have the option of letting baby have a splash in my mini ceramic roll top bath. It’s the perfect way of getting some more happy, fun images of your little one (whilst getting them clean at the same time)
From start to finish, the style of the shoot is very natural and stylish. There are no bright, garish colours and distracting backgrounds. Just your beautiful baby and some cake 😉
